We have an exciting opportunity to join a well-established IT Services company based in the centre of Edinburgh. Our client provides professional services and support to a diverse range of clients from major financial institutions to small business throughout the UK. This is a full-time permanent position based in their Head Office in Edinburgh, some travel may be required from time to time.
Reporting to and working with the Operations Director, you will be managing our Operations team to run the day-to-day business operations of the company. You will be working with our existing systems and processes, and helping us to streamline and develop our capabilities. You will be joining an expanding and thriving IT consultancy; direct experience of an IT company would be useful, but is not essential.
The Operations team is responsible for all the business administration function including; HR, sales invoicing and administration, credit control, purchasing, facilities and building management, travel arrangements and events planning – and anything else that the business requires. You will have previous team-management experience, and you must have great organisational skills and be ready to learn. Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, the ability to pick up PowerPoint and Visio, and being willing to learn about their internal processes and procedures is essential. They use Sage Line 50, so having a working knowledge of an accounting package would be an advantage.
Candidates must have excellent communication and organisational skills coupled with a positive professional attitude. An ability to communicate comfortably with staff and clients at all levels is essential. An efficient mind and the capability to multi-task, operating in various disciplines simultaneously would be a distinct advantage.
You must be eligible to work in the UK; the successful applicant will be subject to our client’s Pre-Employment Screening process and Basic Disclosure Scotland check, in line with financial services industry requirements.
